SNOWFLAKE – heavenly snowflakes made of Washi paper
The union of traditional Japanese paper manufacturing and lovingly design has created these miraculous SNOWFLAKES from delicate handcrafted Washi paper. One must experience them to feel the beauty and fascination.
Already during the use of this natural material, its practical and equally aesthetic side appears. Through applying only some water on the ice-crystals, which are made out of Japanese paper, they can easily be applied to windows and other glass surfaces. Once dried the charming effect of SNOWFLAKES develops into a surprisingly beautiful manner: The fine Japanese paper raises its tender fiber and begins its play by light and shade!
SNOWFLAKES may not only be used on windows and glass doors. They may as well be used for decorating glass lanterns, mirrors, glass bowls and bottles or vases – just everything which belongs to a winter fairy tale dream.
SNOWFLAKES stick to its substrate during the whole winter season and can be easily removed and reused for the following festive and winter season. In total there are 25 different designs of SNOWFLAKES, which have been individually designed by the Russian artist Vera Ilushenchkina, and manufactured by a traditional Japanese paper producer.
